President Droupadi Murmu flags off three new trains from Odisha's Badampahar

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated three new trains from Badampahar Railway Station in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. The flagged-off trains include Shalimar-Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express, Badampahar-Rourkela-Badampahar Weekly Express, and Tatanagar-Badampahar-Tatanagar MEMU Service. President Murmu, who took a ride in Badampahar-Shalimar Express to Rairangpur, emphasized the importance of connectivity for the region’s development. She virtually inaugurated the Rairangpur postal division, released a commemorative special cover, and laid the foundation stone for Badampahar railway station’s redevelopment. The President highlighted India Post’s continued relevance and expressed confidence in improved postal services for the region. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Governor of Odisha Raghubar Das were present at the ceremony. Additionally, President Murmu praised the government’s PM JANMAN initiative for the development of particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs).
