Odia mountaineer, Sidharth Routray, has successfully scaled Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe, wearing a Sambalpuri shirt and a gamucha from Khurda district. Sidharth reached the 5,642-meter summit on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, after facing several challenges caused by weather conditions during his previous attempts. Sidharth started his journey by resting in a hotel near the Mineralnye Vody airport on April 24th, and after several days of acclimatization and training, he made his final summit push on May 2nd.
