Ganjam's film 'Adwitiya' wins two awards at the Mauritius Film Festival

The film ‘Adwitiya’, produced by Nrityam Kala Gabeshana Kendra in Hinjilicut, Ganjam district of Odisha, has been awarded in two categories at the International Film Festival held in Mauritius, North Africa. The short documentary film, directed by Krishna DK, is based on some factual events that depict how the IIC of Aska Police Station gained the trust of the people and brought back criminals into the mainstream of society, turning a ‘crime city’ into a ‘crime controlling city’. The IIC of Aska PS Prashant Kumar Sahoo and staff, along with senior IPS officers, IG of Police, Southern Range Satyabrata Bhoi, and SP of Ganjam Jagmohan Meena have played significant roles in the film. The story has been written by Simanchal Maharana, and the film’s assistant director is Ramakrushna Sahu. The cinematographer is Mohit Tripathy, and Devasish Moharana is the editor. The film’s director and writer have been invited to attend the Indian Ocean International Film Festival Award Ceremony, which will be held on April 29 in Mauritius, North Africa.
