Gopalpur Port, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has opened a training center for beauticians at its CSR Complex in Dubuli Chowk, Ganjam district, Odisha. The program aims to empower rural women and encourage their participation in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. 30 women from nearby panchayats have registered for the training, and Gopalpur Port distributed free beautician kits and cosmetics to them. The Gopalpur Port Ladies Club members attended the opening ceremony and encouraged the women to utilize the benefits for skill development. The port recently launched the “Maa Handishala” program to support women self-help groups from nearby villages in starting home-based food preparation and distribution.
