Dr. Manorama Mohanty, a distinguished weather scientist, has been appointed as the new Director of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar. She assumes the role from H R Biswas and currently holds the position of Head at the Meteorological Center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Ahmedabad.
