Today heralds the establishment of an unforgettable milestone in our history, which will be revered by generations. It is the day the entire nation has eagerly awaited – the homecoming of Lord Rama, bringing boundless blessings for his devoted followers. While this monumental celebration resonates throughout the nation today, for the people of Odisha, there is a bigger reason to celebrate.

As the nation rejoices in Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya, Odisha is proud to have a double delight moment.  Odisha will also rejoice in the inauguration of the grand Shri Ram Temple at Fategarh, in the Nayagarh district of Odisha. Nestled amidst the sprawling greenery of Ram Pahad, this temple dedicated to Lord Ram is poised to become a sacred haven for devotees.

How It Started:

As Odisha is all set for the inauguration, let us delve into the brief history of the temple.

The inauguration process of the temple is scheduled to commence on January 21st, in  the esteemed presence of Puri Shankaracharya. This towering 165-ft temple stands as another architectural wonder, enriching Odisha’s cultural tapestry with art, heritage, and unparalleled beauty. Odisha, being already blessed with many beautiful temples, will now be a proud home to another one. Constructed with Baulamala stone, the temple emerges as a spectacular piece of art and a site of historical significance, as this is the place where Lord Govardhan was worshiped in ancient times, radiating an aura of positivity.

Over 150 dedicated workers invested their heart and soul into building this divine temple, the construction for which began in 2017. Today, after seven years of unwavering commitment, we witness the culmination of their efforts as the temple comes to life. While their dedication deserves applause and recognition, it is also testament to the prayers and contributions of more than ten crore devotees who facilitated the development of this sacred edifice.

Odia Samaj joyously celebrates this monumental day, embracing Lord Ram’s grand arrival in Ayodhya and at its own doorstep! We seek his blessings to keep achieving more such milestones.
