Vedanta Recruits 40 Odisha Girls For Lanjigarh Refinery In Kalahandi

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, launched ‘Project Panchhi’ at its alumina refinery at Lanjigarh, in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. A total of 40 girls from economically backward communities were identified for recruitment at Vedanta’s Lanjigarh operations.‘Project Panchhi’ is Vedanta’s corporate recruitment drive which aims to employ 1,000 girls from financially backward communities across its diverse businesses in metals, mining, oil & gas situated pan-India.The target group is girls from lower income families who are likely to opt out of studies and be denied a fulfilling career, owing to financial and social constraints.
