India’s Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, launched the digital version of the Employability Skills curriculum for students enrolled in the country’s industrial training institutes in New Delhi. The initiative is a collaboration between government skills training institutions, civil society organizations, industry, and corporate social responsibility partners to provide critical skills to the youth for the future. Mr. Pradhan emphasized the government’s focus on creating a skill-based learning structure that complements knowledge-based learning and building a robust digital infrastructure to prepare a future-ready workforce. He also highlighted that the country has a talented workforce, and investing in human resources would increase companies’ profitability. The digital lesson was launched at the Future Right Skills Network’s ‘Future Skills Forum.’ In his tweet, Mr. Pradhan expressed his pleasure in launching the new digital lesson for employability skills and spoke about the transformative power of skilling to shape India’s future and prepare a 21st-century workforce.
