Odisha’s tennis prodigy, Aahan, has soared to the pinnacle of success, securing the top spot in the Girls’ U-14 category, according to the latest rankings released by the All India Tennis Association (AITA). At just 13 years old, Aahan has amassed an impressive tally of 1259.25 points, solidifying her standing as one of the nation’s brightest young talents. Aahan’s recent triumph at the KSLTA Asian U-14 meet in Bengaluru underscored her prowess as she clinched both the singles and doubles titles. This stellar performance contributed to her elevation to the coveted India No. 1 position.

This isn’t the first time Aahan has made waves in the tennis world. In April of this year, she made history as the first girl from Odisha to secure a singles title in an AITA National Series U-16 tournament. Additionally, she displayed her versatility by finishing as the runner-up in girls’ doubles at the event hosted by Hyderabad’s Sania Mirza Tennis Academy. Aahan’s success extends back to March when she claimed both the U-14 singles and doubles titles at an AITA meet held at the same venue. Notably, she had previously held the No. 1 rank in the country in the girls’ under-12 category.
