Who is Olly?
Olly is the star of the town, and everyone’s recent favourite!
It’s none other than our very own Olive Ridley- an exotic species of turtle that flocks in large numbers from faraway places to Odisha during winter. Olive Ridley turtles gather on the pristine beaches of Odisha for nesting and dwell there from mid-February to March.
Since the hype surrounding hockey started, Olly has grabbed the interests of everyone!
While the joy of the Hockey World Cup is in the air, Odisha hosting it makes it all the more amazing for us! Also, the Olive Ridleys have been a part of Odisha’s identity for a long time. So we sync very well!
Odisha chose Olive Ridley as its lucky mascot with an aim to spread awareness and take steps towards protecting this endangered species!
Olly’s Land: A Real-Life Wonderland
While there’s Disneyland or Wonderland, Odisha can now proudly boast, “We have Olly’s Land.” Yes, the place gives you real Disneyland vibes, given the splendour and ambience it has. The spectacular lighting out there, coupled with the fun it gives, is worth the visit!
A 20-foot-tall massive World Cup effigy stands prominently, adorned with a fantastic lighting setup that takes the euphoria to a whole new level! Beginning from the entrance, the entire place is lit with dazzling, spectacular lighting arrangements in different shapes and sizes that will leave the onlookers totally mesmerized! Walking through a row of huge, lighted stars is one awesome part of it!
You can also see the historic wheel of the Konark temple completely lit up and spinning! Well relax… It’s not the wheel we are talking about! It’s just the effigy.
The Sambar deer, or the state animal of Odisha, sparkles at night.The Sambar deer, being unique to Odisha, has found a place for itself at Olly’s Land.

Details You Must Know About Timings:
The Olly’s lands are open from 3 P.M to 10 P.M in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Puri. You can visit anytime between the allotted time period.
Dates: From 11th Jan to 29th January Entry: Pass is not required on the days when there’s no match. However, for Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium and Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Stadium, on the days of the match the people who have already booked their tickets can visit the entertainment zone, while the people without passes are not allowed.
Olly’s Land at Puri Beach is always free to enter.
