Odisha-born educationist, Prof Sunita Mishra, has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The distinguished academic, who previously served as the Dean of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow, was chosen by Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra in his role as Chancellor of Universities. With a career spanning 32 years, Prof Mishra’s notable achievements include teaching at various institutions in Odisha, joining Banaras Hindu University, and authoring 23 books. Her academic contributions also extend to supervising 20 Ph.D. students and securing two patents in food technology. Recognized with multiple awards, she has published over 400 research papers and actively participated in committees of UGC and NAAC. Her association with the United Nations’ World Food Programme in India further highlights her impactful career.
