People of tribal-dominated Koraput district, which is Odisha’s one of the ‘Best Kept Secrets’, will have air connectivity to Bhubaneswar from October 31. But are you aware of the special vistadome coach that has been rolled out to Jeypore, allowing passengers in Odisha to have a unique travelling experience to various tourist sites not only in the state but also in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Two Vistadome tourist coaches have been added to Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express, which covers Araku valley and Borra caves in Andhra Pradesh; Macchkund, Sabar Srikhetra, Maliguda and Jeypore in Odisha, and Tiratgarh and Chitrakoot in Chhattisgarh. People from remote stations like Kotpad, Kusumi, Dhanpur, Chatadiput in Koraput can also have access to this unique travelling experience. The Vistadome tourist coaches are provided with a larger viewing area including rooftop glasses with 44 seats for passengers with rotation up to 180 degrees to face the direction of train movement. The coaches also have a Wi-Fi-based Passenger information system. What doubles the fun is that this train chugs through hills, tunnels, valleys and deep forests. Notably, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) had earlier attached one Vistadome coach to Visakhapatnam- Koraput-Visakhapatnam special train that plies on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between May 9 and August 8 .
