IIM Sambalpur, one of India’s prestigious management institutes, has made an exciting announcement regarding the opening of its new campus in New Delhi. In addition, the institute has introduced a two-year hybrid MBA program designed specifically for working professionals, strategic leaders, and entrepreneurs with a minimum of three years of experience. This innovative program offers a blended learning approach and provides participants with the opportunity to obtain a dual degree from international universities, in accordance with the National Policy on Education (NEP) 2020.
The classes for the program will be held on weekends at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) campus of IIM Sambalpur’s Delhi Centre. This move aims to cater to the needs of professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs in the region who aspire to pursue a management degree from a premier institute like IIM. Since Delhi and its neighboring cities are home to numerous government and public sector units, corporate headquarters, and large family businesses, there is a substantial pool of potential candidates for this program. The new campus in Delhi will facilitate regular classes and provide a well-rounded learning experience. The curriculum will incorporate a combination of flipped classroom studies, lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, seminar presentations, assignments, and management games.
As part of this program, students will receive an MBA degree, a two-year program, with the option to pursue a dual degree from internationally renowned institutions such as Sorbonne Business School Paris, Institute of International Universities Consortium (IIE) Paris, France, and University of Bordeaux, France. They will also have access to international immersion programs, interactions with corporate professionals and faculty from top national and international business schools, and the esteemed status of being an IIM alumni.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted permission for students to pursue two degrees simultaneously under the latest NEP, further enhancing the appeal of this program. In addition to this exciting development, IIM Sambalpur has embarked on a unique project aimed at providing digital access to products created by 30,000 skilled weavers of Sambalpur. Agreements have been established with Flipkart and SIDBI, facilitating the online availability of these world-class products.
