AIIMS Bhubaneswar introduces millets in diets of patients and students

AIIMS Bhubaneswar has taken the initiative to introduce millets in the diets of indoor patients and students for better health and nutrition. The decision was taken on the occasion of Odisha Day and G20 Jan Bhagidari campaign. The executive director of AIIMS, Ashutosh Biswas, believes that the introduction of millets will provide essential fibers to patients for quick recovery. Moreover, students will also benefit from rich nutrients and minerals, helping them manage weight problems and immunity. The institute organized a meeting to create awareness about the health benefits of millets, and a handbook on millets was distributed among the people. AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, dietician Soumya Sucharita Prusty hopes that the initiative will inspire people to adopt traditional and healthy foods in their daily diet.
