Ikat involves tying and dying specific sections of threads to create a stunning array of shades, with the tied portions remaining untouched. These threads interweave to form a resplendent fabric featuring delicate motifs against a dark background. This art, dating back to the 12th century when artisans migrated from Gujarat, continues to thrive as a testament to Odisha’s heritage. The stole was presented in a Teak wood box, meticulously handcrafted by artisans, showcasing the resilience and durability of teak wood.
