Odisha’s talented swimmer, Pratyasa Ray, is making a tremendous splash at the 3rd Khelo India University Games (KIUG) held in Uttar Pradesh. The 20-year-old swimming prodigy secured her fourth medal for Utkal University by finishing second in the women’s 200m freestyle event held in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Pratyasa’s remarkable performance has earned her a remarkable collection of one gold and three silver medals so far in the ongoing KIUG. In an impressive display of skill and determination, she claimed the silver medal in the women’s 200m backstroke event a day earlier. Prior to that, on Friday, she struck gold in the women’s 100m backstroke and added another silver in the 400m freestyle category.
The KIUG events are taking place across various locations in Uttar Pradesh, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow. The closing ceremony of this highly anticipated sporting extravaganza will be held in Lucknow on June 3.
