Four Odisha youths, Abhisek Mani, Anwesha Dutt, Aswini Kumar Paitai, and Punyashloka Panda, actively participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai. As representatives of Youth for Water Mission, they addressed the conference on the impact of irregular rainfall and natural disasters worldwide due to climate change. Emphasizing youth involvement in climate change mitigation, they engaged with key figures, including Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Singh Baghela, Archana Verma of National Water Mission, Rajendra Singh (‘Water Man’ of India), and Miss Nepal 2023 Srachachaha. Their detailed account highlighted the effects of climate change, particularly relevant to Odisha.
