Andhra Pradesh and Bihar jointly received the third position. The awards, which aim to promote the government’s vision of a ‘Jal Samridh Bharat’ or ‘Water Prosperous India’, acknowledge the efforts made by individuals and organizations in water conservation.
Furthermore, Odisha’s Ganjam district has been honored as the Best District, with Namakkal in Tamil Nadu and Adilabad in Telangana receiving the second and third prizes, respectively. The winners will be felicitated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on June 17 at an award distribution ceremony in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. These awards not only recognize exemplary work in water resource management but also aim to raise awareness about the significance of water and encourage the adoption of sustainable water usage practices.
