Hockey India has officially announced a 32-member Indian men’s squad for the highly anticipated FIH Pro League 2024-25, scheduled to take place at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium, Bhubaneswar, from February 15 to 25. The squad features a balanced mix of experienced stalwarts and promising young talents, with three players from Odisha making the cut. Three hockey players from Odisha – Amit Rohidas, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, and Shilanand Lakra – have secured their spots in the squad. Veteran drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh has been named the captain of the squad, while Hardik Singh will serve as the vice-captain. The team comprises experienced players as well as emerging stars who have impressed in junior tournaments and domestic leagues. Two exciting young prospects, Angad Bir Singh (22) and Arshdeep Singh (20), will make their senior team debuts in the tournament after delivering outstanding performances in junior hockey and the ongoing Hockey India League.
