Over 40 ongoing railway projects in Odisha will see a combined investment of Rs 54,434 crore. This substantial funding is set to bring about a significant transformation in the state’s railway network. The railway network in Odisha has achieved 100% electrification, a major milestone in enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. A total of 59 railway stations, including major hubs like Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. This initiative aims to modernize stations with improved amenities and infrastructure to provide better services to passengers.
Since 2014, Odisha has seen the construction of 427 flyovers and underpasses, significantly improving safety and connectivity across the state.
