Indian swimmer Pratyasha Ray, hailing from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, won a silver medal in the women’s 50m backstroke event at the Thailand Age-Group Swimming Championships held at Assumption University in Bangkok. The 20-year-old, a JSW Swimming HPC product, had earlier won three gold medals at the 2016 Junior National Aquatics Meet in Bengaluru, which marked her arrival on the big stage. Ray had also won a bronze for Odisha in the girls’ 50m backstroke at the 2014 Sub-Junior National Championships.
