The millennium city of Cuttack is all set to play host to many Bollywood and Ollywood bigwigs performing on the stage during Bali Yatra this year. The performers include Kailash Kher, Javed Ali and Krishna Beura from Bollywood and Sheetal Patra, Kuldeep Patnaik, Tilak Chakraborty, Diptirekha Padhi, Asima Panda, Bishnu Mohan Kabi, Human Sagar, Mantu Chhuria, Sabyasachi Mishra, Archita Sahu, Pankaj Jal and Abhijit Mishra from Odia cine industry. The Bali Yatra will also see rock band Vighnanz and a Kathak dance troop performing on the stage. As per reports, the District Cultural Council of Cuttack, which is organising the cultural events at Bali Yatra will be hosting the singers throughout the 9-day event. As the mega event is organised after a gap of two years, a number of measures have been undertaken by the district administration and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), Commissionerate Police and other stakeholders to make Bali Yatra a grand success. Excitement is also high among visitors from Cuttack and other parts of the state as Bali Yatra has a lot to offer and provides good business opportunities to artisans, traders, and other self-help groups. Apart from cultural events, this year, visitors can relish a number of special delicacies at the Pallishree Mela which will be organised in a bigger area. As per official sources, the fair will be organised on over 5 acres of land. Rural theme-based pavilions and food courts to be major crowd pullers during this Bali Yatra.
