Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated an Indoor stadium at PR School in Balangir district, Odisha, providing a significant boost to sports in the region. The indoor stadium, funded by GAIL (India) Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, was built at a cost of Rs 9.9 crore. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including four badminton courts conforming to national standards, the stadium aims to enhance sporting opportunities and foster talent and passion for sports among the youth. The project is expected to benefit Balangir district, which possesses untapped potential and talent in sports at both national and international levels. GAIL (India) Limited’s Director (Projects) expressed pride in supporting this CSR project and reiterated the company’s commitment to the development and welfare of communities through such initiatives.
