The ULLAS app, short for Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society, aims to revolutionize education and literacy by leveraging technology to provide access to basic literacy. The user-friendly app acts as a digital gateway to diverse learning resources through the DIKSHA portal of NCERT and is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
The ULLAS initiative focuses on promoting functional literacy, vocational skills, financial literacy, legal literacy, digital literacy, and citizen empowerment in nation-building. It fosters a culture of continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across communities in India. The program targets citizens aged 15 and above who missed the opportunity to attend school and aims to impart basic education, digital and financial literacy, and critical life skills.
The campaign’s new logo and slogan symbolize the enthusiasm and vigor of the initiative, representing the spread of knowledge and education across the nation, empowering citizens and igniting curiosity and learning in every individual. The ULLAS app is being implemented through volunteerism, with the vision of creating a learning ecosystem that reaches every individual and bridges gaps in basic literacy and critical life skills.
