Sanjeeb Panda, a 1994-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, replacing Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi. The reshuffle also sees Priyadarshi taking up the role of Director Intelligence. Currently serving as the Director of Intelligence and holding an additional charge as CMD of OPHWC, Panda brings extensive experience to his new role. Simultaneously, Cuttack sees a change in leadership with Kanwar Vishal Singh, the 2010-batch SP of Puri, appointed as the new DCP in the rank of DIGP. In a reciprocal move, Pinak Mishra, the 2011-batch DCP of Cuttack, will now take over as the SP of Puri. This reshuffle extends beyond the twin cities, with a total of 18 IPS officers undergoing transfers and receiving new postings, marking a significant reorganization within the police department.
