Puri’s Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University conferred an honorary doctorate degree on Prof. Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences) and KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology), during its 9th convocation ceremony. The degree, “D. Lit. Prajnana-Vachaspati,” was awarded to Prof. Samanta by Odisha Governor and University Chancellor, Prof. Ganeshi Lal, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to education and social service. This distinction marked the 53rd honorary doctorate received by Prof. Samanta, while it was the first of its kind for Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University. Dr. Samanta expressed his gratitude to the University authorities, Syndicate members, and Education Council for bestowing this honor upon him. He also mentioned that beginning his educational journey in Puri and receiving the honorary doctorate from there was a privilege, and he was further motivated to continue his efforts for the betterment of society.
