President Droupadi Murmu Presents ‘Bhoomi Samman’ Award To Odisha In New Delhi

In a prestigious ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu presented the coveted “Bhoomi Samman” award to Odisha for its outstanding implementation of the Digital India Land Record Modernisation Programme (DILRMP). Satyabrat Sahu, the additional chief secretary of the Revenue & Disaster Management department, received the award from the president. The award recognizes Odisha as the best state for meeting all the parameters of the DILRMP, which aims to modernize land records across the country. Out of the 766 districts in India, a total of 68 districts were honored with the platinum award across six different categories, with 19 districts from Odisha being among the recipients.

The platinum award-winning districts of Odisha are Angul, Boudh, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Nayagarh, Nuapada, and Sambalpur. These districts were previously presented with the award by the President. The Bhoomi Samman Award showcases Odisha’s commendable efforts and achievements in leveraging technology to streamline land records. The recognition reaffirms the state’s commitment to the successful implementation of the Digital India initiative.
