Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital’s esteemed Neurology department in Odisha has achieved a significant milestone as Prof. (Dr) Suryaprakash Chowdhury was honored with the fellowship of the World Headache Society. The prestigious recognition was bestowed upon him during the Society’s international conference held in Bengaluru last month, attended by approximately 500 neurologists from around the world. The three-day conference, held from June 16 to 18, served as a platform for renowned experts in the field to share knowledge and advancements in neurology. Out of the attendees, ten distinguished neurologists were granted the prestigious fellowship, the highest honor conferred by the World Headache Society. Notably, Prof. (Dr) Chowdhury became the first neurologist from Odisha to receive this esteemed recognition.
