To reduce fatality cases due to road accidents, and in pursuance to the observations of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, the Centre and Odisha government have strengthened the trauma care facilities in the state.
In a fresh move by the Health and Family Welfare department of Odisha, seven more private hospitals with trauma care facility of level I type have been approved, official sources said on Friday.
Earlier, a few Trauma Care Facilities (TCFs) were strengthened at SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack, MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Brahmapur, VIMSAR Burla and District Headquarters Hospitals at Khurda, Bhadrak, Balasore and RGH in Rourkela.
