Siddhartha Das, an accomplished IAS officer, has assumed the prestigious role of Director of Sports in the Sports and Youth Services Department of the Odisha government. Taking charge on Thursday, Das wasted no time in meeting with Tusharkanti Behera, the Minister of Sports and Youth Services, to discuss the key areas of focus for sports development in the state. Eager to hit the ground running, Das visited the renowned Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, where he inspected various facilities and High Performance Centres. Engaging in productive discussions with athletes and officials, Das demonstrated his commitment to furthering the growth of sports in Odisha. Prior to this appointment, Das served as Additional Secretary to the Finance department, fulfilling additional responsibilities as the Additional Director in the Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection.
