This year, the grand event of Odisha Parba is all set to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium unleashing a fun-filled extravaganza on the 24th, 25th and 26th of March.
Since the news of Odisha Parba 2023 started spreading among the people, all the Delhiites have been eagerly waiting for this day, especially all the Odias residing in Delhi. They all have been looking forward to joyfully celebrating the event, grooving to the jazzy Sambalpuri music, relishing delectable Odia dishes, purchasing exquisite handicrafts and handlooms and enjoying amazing musical performances by the artists of Odisha!
Through the pages of History
Odisha Parba first began in 2017 and kept achieving monumental success till 2019, wooing lakhs of people loving the event. However, with the coronavirus pandemic bringing everything to a halt, there were virtual celebrations in 2021 and 2022.
Now it is finally back with a bang in 2023!

The Grand event will commence with the inaugural ceremony and lighting up of the lamp!Then comes a stage play that will leave the spectators spellbound.

The magnificent stage play, ‘AheNilashaila’ will be performed by renowned artists from Odisha. This stage play will beautifully depict the struggles of Gajapati king Ramachandra Dev, who had to endure relentless difficulties to protect Lord Jagannath from the tyranny of a Muslim ruler NaibNazim. A must-watch, it is bound to generate thousands of emotions in every Odia’s heart!
Full Of Amazing Surprises
Odia Samaj has organized Pen Your Essay and Win Amazing Prizes competition for the age groups of 14-19 years and 20-25 years.
The purpose was to encourage young minds to be innovative and bring out their hidden potential. The topics allotted to each group were My Odisha Of Tomorrow 2036 and Purvodaya India in 2047. Several people enthusiastically registered and took part in it. The winners have got an opportunity to visit Delhi and have won exciting prizes.

The second day of Odisha Parba 2023 is going to bring you much more excitement.
The stage will light up with a musical extravaganza by Odisha’s evergreen artists. Guru RatikantaMohapatra and his disciples will perform Odissi on the grand stage and enthrall the spectators with his mesmerizing presentation! They are sure to create magic on stage with Chitra-Vitanam, dedicated to Lord Jagannath.
A soulful performance by the Kalagramfollows next, where you get to witness an enthralling tribal dance performance by the artists, including a soulful music performance using folk instruments, which are long forgotten!
The Sambalpuri Delight!
Every Odia has a special connection with melodious Odia songs. But when it comes to the energetic Sambalpuri songs and dance, you have no other option but to let the excitement sink into you!
At the Odisha Parba 2023, you will continuously tap your toes and dance to the fun-filled rhythm of Tikita Kita, a well-known Sambalpuri folk song. It is one such song that every Odia vibes with, and will be performed by Odissi legend Saswat Joshi and his troupe.
The fun does not end here. Odisha’s musical heartthrob MantuChhuria will make the entire Delhi dance to some of his popular Sambalpuri songs with his group. He is set to make every beat of your heart pound with the zestful rhythms of Rasia, Rani Guriand SambalpuriaBabu. You will experience the thrill increase as each minute passes.

The Day-3 of the grand fiesta will bring you more fun and excitement.
Saswat Joshi and his troupe will begin the evening and mesmerize the spectators with an enthralling Odissi dance performance with something new. He will recreate the magic of classical Odia bhajans/songs sung by exponents like SikandarAlam, Balakrushna Das, AkshayaMohanty and BhikariBala by adding his graceful dance moves.
It will be followed by a beautiful musical rendition by RabiratanSahu, the founder ofAdi-Dhun, an Odia music band. The troupe will render a musical performance using different instruments, with a folk touch to it!
AnanyaSritam Nanda, Odisha’s young melody queen will add splendor to the night with her magical voice. She received prominence in the world of music after she won the Indian Idol Junior show.
The Valiant Paikas
Another great highlight of the grand evening will be the breathtaking Chhauand Paikadance performances by Guru Arniruddha and the troupe. The dancers will beautifully showcase our motherland’s undying history of freedom struggle.
