Debadatta Chand, a native of Odisha’s Balangir district, has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda. Currently serving as the bank’s Executive Director, Chand’s appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for a period of three years with effect from July 1, 2023. The Financial Services Institutions Bureau recommended his name for the position earlier this year. Chand completed his schooling and Plus II from Balangir, followed by BTech from OUAT in Bhubaneswar and MBA from Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management. This appointment is a proud moment for the state of Odisha.
