This recognition places SOA in the 201-300 bracket, standing alongside Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Notably, SOA is the only private university from India to be included in this esteemed global ranking.
The THE World Reputation Rankings 2025, published on Tuesday, evaluated 300 universities across 38 countries, using a revamped methodology to assess institutional excellence and global academic influence. Among the globally ranked institutions, Harvard University secured the top position for the 14th consecutive year, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and University of Oxford in joint second place, while Stanford University and University of Cambridge shared the fourth rank.
SOA’s consistent rise in national and global rankings reflects its commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation. In 2024, SOA was ranked 14th among Indian universities by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). It has also achieved NAAC’s highest Grade A++ accreditation and was granted Category-I Graded Autonomy Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2022. Additionally, the university has secured a position in global QS and THE World University Rankings, reinforcing its reputation as a leading institution in higher education.
